Unless you have spent the past decade living in a hole, you have doubtless heard of J.R.R Tolkien’s “The Lord of the Rings,” adapted to movies beginning in 2001. Now, nearly 11 years after “The Fellowship of the Ring,” the first in the trilogy, was released, “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” hits theaters.
