CLINTON -- A smoldering cigarette caused a grass fire that spread to a nearby house at 1551 N. 1500 West, damaging siding on the structure and a utility room.
A truck parked in the driveway also was damaged by the blaze.
Firefighters said the cigarette was discarded and fell into dry grass along the driveway. The grass ignited and spread to the house.
There were no injuries. No estimate of damages was available.
