ROY -- A young boy escaped injury when a fire erupted Tuesday in a home near 3900 South and 2000 West in Roy.
Roy Deputy Fire Chief Bret Felter said the fire started around 2:30 p.m. and a bedroom was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.
A window in the room had broken out and an RV camper parked next to the home was also on fire, Felter said.
He estimated the total damages at $100,000.
About 25 firefighters from Roy, Ogden, Riverdale and Weber Fire District responded and had the fire out in about a half-hour.
