Three juveniles were treated for minor injuries following a rollover accident at 7:09 a.m. that closed two lanes on Interstate 15 near Glover Lane on  Tuesday,  Jan. 8, 2012.  The driver, a 17-year-old girl from Ogden, and  the two passengers — a 17-year-old girl from South Weber and a 12-year-old boy from Ogden —  were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.  All were wearing seat belts. Two lanes were shut down while the accident was investigated.

Group: An I-15 interchange at Shepard Lane would bottleneck

FARMINGTON -- A group of Davis County residents oppose one of the West Davis Corridor options so much, they've decided to buy a billboard along Interstate 15 to demonstrate their displeasure.

The billboard, which is on the west side of I-15 and is viewable in the northbound lane, sits between Pages Lane and Porter Lane in Centerville and reads, "WARNING: I-15 Bottleneck Coming. UDOT: www.StopTheBottleNeck.com."

If the West Davis Corridor gets built, it will include an interchange off I-15 that connects to the road in Farmington and southern Kaysville. The state will build the interchange at either Glovers Lane or Shepard Lane.

Hay truck catches fire in Farmington

Hay truck fire backs up traffic on I-15 near Farmington

FARMINGTON — Jonathan Owens saw the flames in his rearview mirror and knew he needed to pull over fast.

Owens, 33, was driving a semitrailer from Bear River to Delta, carrying 26 one-ton bales of hay.

“There were lots of flames,” Owens said. “They were in the deck (of the truck) and on the tires.”

Rollover causes commute delays in Davis County

CLEARFIELD — Early morning commuters were kept at a snail’s pace as crews investigated a one-car rollover Friday that left the driver with minor injuries.

A blue 2000 Ford Focus was northbound on I-15 MP335, just north of SR 193 (700 South) in Clearfield. It was occupied by father and son, Jorge (age 63) and Cristopher Revilla (age 29) both from Ogden, Utah.
The driver of the Ford, Jorge, lost control on the snow packed roads and went into the median. The car submarined under the cable barrier and went into southbound traffic lanes. A red 2009 Volvo tractor/trailer, was southbound and the Ford slid into the Volvo. It was a t-bone collision on the passenger side of the Ford. Both occupants were killed instantly. CLEARFIELD — Authorities have identified an Ogden father and son who were killed in a crash on snowy Interstate 15 north of Clearfield.

9-hour I-15 standoff ends when man surrenders

MESQUITE, Nev. — A stretch of Interstate 15 in northwest Arizona has been reopened after it was closed in an investigation into possible hazardous materials in a vehicle that a man carjacked and then killed himself in after robbing a Nevada bank.
