Pancake fundraiser nets more than $7K

NORTH SALT LAKE — A July 2 pancake breakfast at a North Salt Lake park raised more than $7,500 to help victims of an area landslide, according to a news release.

Donations are still being received at www.projectspringhill.com, said Randy Shumway, a volunteer event organizer.

Residents from North Salt Lake, Bountiful and Woods Cross purchased the $5 breakfasts at Foxboro Regional Park, Shumway said.

The funds raised will be used to assist those in North Salt Lake who are losing their homes and being forced to relocate because of a slow-moving landslide in the Springhill neighborhood, the release states.
