LOS ANGELES -- Making his first turn on NBC's "Tonight Show" this election cycle, Mitt Romney mostly played the straight man on Tuesday -- but allowed himself a jab at his rival Rick Santorum for losing his cool over the weekend.
NEW YORK -- What would Mitt Romney like to say to the American people? How about this: "Newt Gingrich? Really?"
"If there is a shutdown, 800,000 nonessential federal employees will be suspended. You know, maybe that's our budget problem right there. We have 800,000 nonessential federal employees."
