LAYTON -- Police are looking for a man who walked into Layton High School last week and exposed himself to a female juvenile custodian working there.
Layton Police Lt. Quinn Moyes said the unknown white man entered the school Oct. 28. After viewing the school's video surveillance tape from the day, police noticed the man, who they believe is in his mid-to-late 20s, first appeared in the school around noon.
The man walked around the school in full view of students and faculty, but no one identified him.
Moyes said the man was dressed similar to that of a typical high school student, which may be why no one noticed him.
The man appeared on the video surveillance system again around 6 p.m., where footage shows him attempting to get into the girls' locker room area. The man couldn't gain access because the door was locked.
The suspect then went to the upper level of the school and exposed himself to a female juvenile who works at the school as a custodian.
"He went to the upper level of the school and saw this female custodian who is a juvenile and dropped his pants and exposed himself," Moyes said.
The surveillance tape shows that, after the man exposed himself, he hid in a classroom for a short time, then left the school in a silver four-door passenger car.
The female custodian described the suspect as a 6-foot-tall, 170-pound male with light brown or blond hair.
Anyone with information about the incident should call the Layton City Police Department at (801) 497-8300.
