I am writing this letter in response to some of the negative feedback to the news story of March 13, "Mother's Regrets." The article was not done with the intention of getting sympathy for myself or my family. There are no words of comfort anyone can give me to make me feel better about the wrong choices I made. I am not doing what I'm doing to redeem myself with anyone on this earth. I have my God to face for that. I am doing this because if my story helps keep one kid from joining a gang, one kid from killing another and one family from suffering then, that is my goal. It's not to get fame or glory! I know and live with my mistakes daily. And no, I do not ask for pay for what I do, and if my message works, it will save taxpayers much money (reference: "Awesome 1" comment). It costs over $50,000 to house one inmate in the Utah State Prison. My thanks and appreciation to Tim Gurrister for doing the article in such a respectful way. I'm proud of you! To all others, I appreciate your support and positive comments! All I can say is, I continue to pray for those of you who can't or won't see or accept the positive aspects of this mission. I sleep better knowing my life's journey doesn't depend on you. God bless you.
