WSU study: Higher suicide risk for lesbian and bisexual woman

OGDEN -- Lesbian college students are more than four times as likely to have attempted suicide than their heterosexual peers. 40 percent of homeless Utah children identified as LGBT

OGDEN -- Of Utah's estimated 5,000 homeless youths, about 40 percent identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender.And of that 40 percent, 50 percent say they were raised in families who were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

All three Neiders on Tuesday attended the LGBT Expo sponsored by the OUTreach Resource Center, based in Ogden.

Hundreds of couples from around the state lined up outside of Weber County offices on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, the day after the same-sex marriage ban in Utah was overturned. After several hours of waiting, the couples were turned away over concerns about the logistics and safety of opening the building on a Saturday.
