Vonn pays off $1.7M in back taxes

DENVER -- Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn announced through her Facebook page that she has paid the more than $1.7 million she owed in back taxes.

SCHLADMING, Austria -- Lindsey Vonn added to her impressive season Thursday, winning the World Cup super-G title for her 16th career crystal globe and the fourth in super-G by finishing sixth in the final race in the discipline this year.

The overall World Cup champion narrowly avoiding skiing out on a blistering run, taking a 1.22-second advantage over leader Viktoria Rebensburg of Germany into the final intermediate time check, but went off course and just made the next gate shortly before the finish.

ARE, Sweden -- Lindsey Vonn became the first American to clinch four overall World Cup titles Friday by winning a giant slalom race, moving into second on the all-time list behind Austrian great Annemarie Moser-Proell.

GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany -- A career milestone and a rare family reunion. All of which left Lindsey Vonn in tears, and it made for a perfect day.

Vonn captured her 50th World Cup victory Saturday, winning the downhill on the demanding Kandahar course with temperatures plunging to minus 13.

Vonn finds winning form despite tumult off slopes

BEAVER CREEK, Colo. -- Lindsey Vonn is chilling out after an exhausting week of charging down the course.

For the next few days, the Olympic gold medalist will catch her breath in Vail as she taps the brakes on a bustling schedule.

Her plans?

Some relaxing, some training. That's it.

So swift on the slopes, she's taking full advantage of this slower pace.

Vonn takes aim at reclaiming overall title

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. -- Lindsey Vonn has found her rhythm on the ski slopes and the dance floor.

The Olympic gold medalist turned in quite a two-step to start the season, capturing her first giant slalom race last month followed by attending her first homecoming dance with a teenager who gathered up enough courage to ask her out.
