KAYSVILLE -- This project turned out even better than expected.

Seattle’s superhero dies from rare cancer at age 14

SEATTLE — In real life, he was Erik Martin, a foster child with severe health problems and a rare form of cancer. But in his imagination he was Electron Boy, a superhero who saved Seattle from the forces of darkness and evil one spring day last year.

Erik died Friday at home. He was 14.

Sick children get private air show at Hill

HILL AIR FORCE BASE -- Aumberlee Davis has spent much of the past year and a half of her life dealing with things most kids her age can't imagine.

The 9-year-old Layton resident and Heritage Elementary School fourth-grader was diagnosed with leukemia in February 2010.

Since her diagnosis she's gone to countless doctor appointments, seen the inside of too many hospital rooms and endured months of chemotherapy treatment.

'Wish Kids' learn about life as Hill fighter pilot

HILL AIR FORCE BASE -- Luke Traughber found out firsthand Thursday what it's like to be an F-16 fighter pilot. But more important, he got a respite from a disease that has been his life for more than a year. The 11-year-old was one of nine Utah children from the Make-A-Wish Foundation who were treated to an interactive tour of the 388th Fighter Wing as part of Hill Air Force Base's "Pilot for a Day" program.
