OGDEN -- After suffering their first defeat in region play to start the season Tuesday afternoon, the Ogden Tigers got back on track by defeating crosstown rivals Ben Lomond 8-0 Thursday afternoon thanks to a couple of big innings at the plate.
"I was proud of the way that we responded after what happened earlier this week," Ogden coach Troy Kolan said. "Joe (Bischoff) pitched a great game and kept them off-balance with his curveball today. We had some key hits from Hunter (Anderson) and Kameron Laird and that made all the difference."
Both pitchers threw the ball extremely well in the beginning as Bischoff and Ben Lomond's Alex Craft each threw three scoreless innings. Those three innings lasted a grand total of 30 minutes as each team was cruising defensively.
