New president called to serve Mormon Tabernacle Choir

SALT LAKE CITY — Ron Jarrett thought he had closed the door on his time with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in 2011 when he was released as the assistant to the president of the choir in 2011.

Prior to that, he had sung with the choir from 1999 to 2008. He loved his time with the choir, but thought he and his wife, Lucie, would spend much of their time serving missions.

Archuleta shines bright in heartwarming concert

David Archuleta. Need I say more? For many teenage girls -- me included! -- not at all!

Now, if you throw in a dash of nostalgic, classic Christmas charm, a stage actor retelling a magical and historical story, and music of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, parents are just as eager to join in the festivities. This year's "Christmas with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra," with special guests David Archuleta and Michael York, was impressive and heartwarming!
