Cache Valley moms churning out own baby food

LOGAN — If you buy a jar of banana baby food at the store, it may have interesting ingredients including citric acid, tuna oil, choline bitartrate, ascorbic acid, gelatin, alpha tocopheryl and acetate.

The banana baby food Danielle Schow feeds her daughter has one ingredient: bananas. That’s because she makes all her baby food herself.

Bananas are easy, since you can just mash them up with a fork. For other foods, Schow uses a BPA-free steamer, then blends them in a Baby Bullet small blender system that comes with baby food containers and recipe book.

Gentlemen, take note: If your wife has stopped calling you as much as she used to and you feel like you're being replaced, you might be right to suspect that there's someone else in her life. But it's not another man -- it's another woman. And she's probably your own daughter.

While men tend to maintain a woman as their closest confidant throughout their adult lives, women's focus shifts from their spouse to their adult daughter as they age, according to an analysis of nearly 2 billion cell phone calls and almost half a billion text messages.
