FARMINGTON  -- Nathanael Sloop is expected to be in court Tuesday afternoon before Judge Glen Dawson. The hearing is scheduled as a pretrial conference.

FARMINGTON -- The assault of a deputy was serious enough that it warranted a second-degree felony, a prosecutor said."We think it's pretty serious and that is why we charged it to a second-degree felony," said Deputy Davis County Attorney Steve Major. "Normally it's a third-degree felony."

FARMINGTON -- Trial dates have been set for Nathanael Sloop, who is charged with the death of his 4-year-old stepson, Ethan Stacy.Before the dates were set, Sloop entered not-guilty pleas to the capital murder charge and other charges in connection with the death of the boy.
