Church gay nativity scene vandalized

CLAREMONT, Calif. -- An unusual nativity display at a Claremont church that conveyed a gay couple was vandalized over the weekend in an incident authorities are investigating as a hate crime.

Public invited to view live nativity in West Haven

WEST HAVEN -- The community is invited to participate in an annual free live nativity starting tonight at the Hunt family home, 3161 S. 2850 West, in West Haven.

Performances last for 20 minutes and run three times a night for three nights: tonight, Friday and Saturday, at 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

It is recommended to arrive early and to dress warmly.

Hunt family presents 34th live nativity

WEST HAVEN -- Once again the Hunt family and friends announce the 34th annual "Miracle of Christmas," presented especially for anyone who longs for the true meaning of Christmas.

This live nativity is tenderly brought to life by a live cast and animals and features beautiful costumes and traditional Christmas music. Professional sound and lighting complement the presentation.

These people were among the more than 6,000 who attended the 2010 “Come and Behold Him” community Christmas creche display sponsored by the Pleasant View stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This year, the display will be open Dec. 1-3 and features more than 1,200 creches from around the world.

Plain City family offers live Nativity

PLAIN CITY -- A family here is offering a simple but what they hope will be a profound gift to the community this season.

The Barnes family at 3107 W. 2600 North is offering a free live Nativity from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday in their backyard.

PLEASANT VIEW — The eighth annual Community Christmas Creche display will be held from noon to 8 p.m. Dec. 1-3 at the Pleasant View LDS Stake, 2975 N. 1000 West.
