OGDEN -- The Ogden Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest invites the public to join annual Mt. Ogden Weed Days to reduce and eradicate invasive weeds threatening the native plant community of the Mt. Ogden area.
The effort begins at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday with a gathering at the parking lot north of Weber State's Stewart Stadium, 3848 Harrison Blvd. It continues Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Huntsville Forest Service Guard Station, 6620 E. 100 South.

The project area encompasses lands bordered by Weber County on the south, Ogden Canyon on the north, the Mt. Ogden front on the west and Trapper's Loop road on the east.
Control methods will include hand-pulling and bagging. Forest Service crews will use herbicides on-site. Participants should wear protective clothing.
