ROY -- A wedding turned hostile when two men got into a fight Saturday evening.
The men exchanged words at the Tuscany Gardens Wedding and Reception Center, after which one man asked the other to step outside to settle the matter, said Police Sgt. Curtis Gibson.
"It snowballed after that," he said. Other family members came to the defense of their loved one who was assaulted and the fight became "kinda chaotic", he said.
Police units from Roy, Utah HIghway Patrol, RIverdale and Weber County Sheriff's Office were called to the scene at 8:30 p.m. Two men were immediately taken to area hospitals. Their conditions were not known Saturday night.
At 10 p.m., police were still trying to sort out what happened. Officers were trying to gather statements and piece together the story from a large crowd, many of whom said they did not see what happened, Gibson said.
