Ogden clinics combine to offer women’s care

OGDEN — Ogden Clinic and the Ogden Women’s Clinic have announced a partnership to serve women’s health care needs in the Top of Utah.

The partnership will include 40 staff members, seven doctors and two mid-level providers from the Ogden Women’s Clinic, who will work closely with Ogden Clinic’s team of health care providers.

Flu bug gains steam, but it's not too late to get vaccinated

Influenza has picked up over the last week across the state, but health officials say it's still not too late to get vaccinated.

According to Weber-Morgan Health Department, the state saw an increase in the number of influenza type A cases beginning the first week of March. In Weber County, 69 percent of those cases have been H1N1, which is covered by this year's vaccine.

"We're not seeing huge numbers, but last month the activity was considered minimal, and this past week we've hit the low to moderate level," said Claudia Price, Weber-Morgan Health Department director of nursing.

Dr. Cloyd D. Van Hook, 93, died at home Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden, where military honors will be accorded. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Rocky Mountain Hospice, Utah Cancer Society or the First Baptist Church in Ogden. Ogden Clinic announces holiday openings

OGDEN -- Ogden Clinic will serve the community this holiday season with special urgent-care hours during Christmas and New Year's weekends.

The distractions of the holiday season often result in unexpected injuries and illnesses that often occur as families gather and celebrate. In anticipation of medical needs during the holiday season, several of Ogden Clinic's facilities will be open to care for the local community and out-of-town guests.

OGDEN — More than 150 homeless and working poor area residents are expected to receive free flu shots Wednesday afternoon, thanks to a partnership with Ogden Clinic and the Ogden Rescue Mission.

vigilant ones when it comes to visiting the doctor, but in today's uncertain economy, doctors are seeing fewer female patients.

No appointment needed for flu shots

Ogden Clinic is now offering flu vaccines at its various clinics. Those wishing to get their immunization can visit any of the clinics between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. No appointment is necessary. The cost of the vaccine is $25. The vaccine generally takes about two weeks to take full effect. The virus is currently circulating and peaks around January.
