Birdhouses on display at Ogden Nature Center

OGDEN -- The birdhouses at Ogden Nature Center have nearly doubled.Sixty-six new birdhouses have been added to the existing 70 or more along Birdhouse Trail as part of the annual Birdhouse Exhibit, on display April 19 through August 30.

Nature Center's beginner-friendly crafts make great holiday gifts

Mittens made of recycled wool are an inexpensive, personal gift for the holidays.

OGDEN -- The Ogden Nature Center revived its Recycled Wool Mittens Workshop this year after a few years' hiatus. Jenny Frame, volunteer coordinator for the center, said volunteer Jane Stewart, a.k.a. "the hunter and gatherer," inspired the revival after she collected a bunch of donated supplies for the event.

The Ogden Nature Center's annual Birdhouse Exhibition is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, April 16 through Aug. 31. Admission to the nature center, at 966 W. 12th St., Ogden, is $4 for adults and $2 for children. For more information, call 801-621-7595.
