OGDEN -- A Box Elder County woman was traveling southbound on the Interstate 15 to Ogden Regional Medical Center to give birth on Friday, but her little bundle of joy could not wait any longer. Her husband pulled over to the side of the highway at 8 p.m. near the 1200 South exit in Ogden, called 9-1-1 and helped her give birth right there. Weber Fire District and Ogden Fire arrived minutes later, just after the baby did.
"They did good work," said Weber Fire Capt. Travis Peterson.
The mother and the baby were transported the rest of the way to the hospital. The family's names were not made available.
