Thanksgiving run/walk breaks attendance record

OGDEN — The 27th Ogden Regional Medical Center’s annual walk/run was held Thanksgiving morning

Participants were asked to donate nonperishable food items and could choose between walking 2 miles or running 5 miles.

Coat donations needed for outreach on Saturday

OGDEN — New Life Northview Church will be have its fifth annual Coat Outreach from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Ogden Rescue Mission, 2775 Wall Ave., Ogden.

Chlothel Gale Riddel

Chlothel Gale Riddel, of Ogden, died of natural causes Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Saturday at the mortuary. Interment will be at Ogden City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be sent to the Ogden Rescue Mission. Post condolences at www.lindquistmortuary.com. Ogden clinic, mission team up to give free flu shots

OGDEN — More than 150 homeless and working poor area residents are expected to receive free flu shots Wednesday afternoon, thanks to a partnership with Ogden Clinic and the Ogden Rescue Mission.

Ogden seniors crochet for Salvation Army

OGDEN -- Salvation Army volunteers and staff members were busy organizing fundraising and preparing to provide Christmas for needy families when some of Santa's helpers walked through the chapel doors.

Donations needed for coat outreach

OGDEN -- Organizers of the fourth annual Coat Outreach are currently accepting items for the event on Nov. 12.

The event gives out winter wear, hot cocoa and chili to area needy at the Ogden Rescue Mission.
