If you type 2012 AD under "search", it will bring up many diverse, doomsday prophecies pointing to that year.
The Bible, The Mayan Calendar, psychic Nostardamus, and a multitude of other sources are predicting all sorts of catyclysmic, apocalyptic, doomsday events will occur by 12/21/12/.
Supposedly, galactic and planetary alignments, a giant comet collision with planet earth, the mother of all earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, earth tilts and pole shifts of 180 degrees, massive global warming, and gigantic solar flares, will bring about the end of the world as we know it, and usher in a New Age, i.e., The New Millennium.
Should these unthinkable events occur, entire cities world wide would be destroyed and hundreds of millions of humans would perish. Moreover, food, water, electricity, and other absolute necessities would be instantly wiped out.
People in the USA and world wide survive entirely on food bought at the super market almost every day. What's going to happen when the food supply runs out instantly? I foresee millions of starving marauders roaming the streets and country world wide desperately pillaging, destroying, and killing just to stay alive!
Economic bailouts, national health care, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, etc., would be the very least of our worries.
Admittedly, this is a scary end of the world type scenario. But suppose all or some of these 2012 doomsday prophecies come true. What then?
