Two of my friends and I attended the Weber State/Utah State basketball game at the Dee Events Center and enjoyed it very much. We were unhappy that the home town advantage was lost, stolen and given away.
Weber State's team had a rocky time and crowd support was almost totally lost because of the large number of Utah State fans dispersed throughout the center. At the end of the game, Weber was making a great comeback and needed the crowd's support, which was very lacking. It was noted that one individual stood up with less than a minute to go to cheer the team. He was shouted down by the Utah State fans and the usher for portal seven rudely made him sit down with only 22 seconds left in the game.
It would appear that the usher needs to be loyal to the Weber State fans and not Utah State when representing Weber State. One can only wonder what else is being done to curtail crowd support at the home games.
