(UNEDITED)I have two things I would like to address. First, all of the commentary surrounding the Fort Hood terrorist act seems to suggest that the Army missed something in the terrorists behavior that led to the carnage this scumbag wrought. I suggest the Army missed absolutely nothing. I suggest that the Liberal 'politically correct' movement prevented the Army from taking any action against this terrorist. After all, everyone knows you simply cannot do anything to offend these enemies. They can kill and maim, but you cannot offend.
Second, as a government worker, I resent the constant sniping at my job, my benefits, my days off. I provide a critical service, I work just as hard as anyone in the private sector. I have been on and off mandatory overtime since February so have spent far less time with my family than the average worker on the outside. As a supervisor, my feet are held to the fire daily to ensure the productivity of my people. We do not have 'Cadillac' health plans. We have no input whatsoever on days off. We are very aware of the taxpayers money, we are reminded of it daily. I supervise a very dedicated, educated, hard working group of people in the defense of this great nation, apparently in the face of an ungrateful populace. I do not know what Pleasant View is doing, but do not tar all government workers with the same brush.
