Research shows homework doesn't help kids

I remember when it took me a half an hour to do all my homeowrk. but that was a long time ago. Now it takes me that much time to finish one part of all my homework. Last night, it took me until 8:30 p.m. to do all my homework and my bed time is 10:00. that only leaves an hour and a half just to play or have fun.

Teachers have to understand that us kids do this five times a week. That doen'st leave us a lot of time to have fun. Everyone has somehting else to do after school, like sports, clubs, or chores. All I'm asking is to make homrwoek fun or assign less of it. Teachers can still assign homework, but please just make it short and simple.

If kids struggle on their homework and wait until their parents get home, children will do worse the next day at school. Also, adults will do badly at thier jobs the next day, which could affect a lot of people. If this happens even once, it is highly possible if will happen again in their lives.

Research even shows that homework doesn't help kids at all. If it doesn't help, why do teachers assign homework to us? If all teachers knew this, would it change anything? If homework doesn't help, should we do something that does?
