(UNEDITED)This letter is in response to Maxine McNeeley letter "Allgier couldn't attend court due to poor health". I find it appalling that you think Mr. Allgier is entitled to civil and human rights. Why could Mr. Allgier take away Mr. Anderson's rights? Why can't Mr. Anderson's family visit their husband, father, friend weekly, when you can visit Mr. Allgier weekly? Visiting weekly only leaves me with the assumption that you are family, since only a family member would be able to have weekly visits. If I was a guard, I would not be signing up to take Mr. Allgier to any doctor when he proved the first time that he can kill a guard that does take him to a doctor. Also, I do not see where ankylosing spondylitis, which is basically a form of arthritis that can affect the spine, should be any reason for him not to appear before a judge. His weight loss is probably due to him not eating, as with other prisoners eg. Warren Jeff's hunger strike. There is no reason why Mr. Allgier cannot or should not be tried in Utah. You should be tried where you commit the crime. Let me guess it was self-defense?
