(UNEDITED)Will someone please tell our Representative Jim Mathenson that the train is leaving the station and he should be on it? He shouldn't be standing on the platform with the Republicans hissing and booing the health care reform plan. Jim has found several things in this bill that he does not like, but what he must realize is that no plan is perfect. If Matheson wants to support health care progress and not the status quo, he should vote with his Democratic party. To vote against this would be a vote for what we have had for years, and it is not sustainable. Health costs have been steadily out-stripping inflation rates, and health insurance companies are getting down right arrogant with double-digit raises in their premium rates.
I urge all Utah citizens to express their voice by calling or e-mailing Representative Matheson. You can call (801) 486-1236 to reach Matheson's Salt Lake office, or e-mail him through his website, http://matheson.house.gov.
