(UNEDITED)A lot of people have a lot of bad things to say about President Obama's healthcare bill. I believe this is due to the bill being demonized by certain sections of the news media, and polls have shown that while many Americans don't support the bill when asked about Obama's healthcare bill, most american's support the bill when read the individual points of the bill, showing people are being swayed not based on content but based on partisanship and media influence. Furthermore we need to realize this bill effects individuals. Personally, this bill effects me and my family.
I am a student over the age of 25 trying to finish my degree, living on small wages and working for a small business in Ogden, this business is not able to provide health insurance to it's employees due to cost. The last time I had to see the doctor for tendonitus, which I have, it cost me well over $100 not including medication. The cost of healthcare has made it prohibitive for me to see the doctor further, as well as the cost of the visit made it difficult to pay my bills for the month.
Furthermore my parents are unable to afford or receive health insurance because my father has parkinson's disease and is denied coverage on the basis of a pre-existing condition. Please don't let partisanship and media sway stand in the way of actually
helping people. We need to support this bill and urge are representatives to pass it now.
