(UNEDITED)I keep hearing the phrase "you should be glad you at least have a job". This is not to say I am not but if businesses looked at it they should be happy we have jobs. Why, you ask. Well businesses need to remember who buys their stuff. That's right people with an income. So I don't want to hear companies crying about how bad the economy is. They have done it to themselves. I am glad you asked how. Every time a company automates and eliminates jobs that is one way, when they outsource to other countries for cheaper labor that is another. When they buy products from others
countries that is another way. When they move their production out of country that is another. All of these are under the saying they want to make the company more profitable. But when one does it then another and so on all they are doing is taking potential customers away from themselves.
I don't have a problem with someone starting and building a company and making millions of dollars that is the American dream. But if they stopped and thought for a moment and said if I keep people in this country employed I might make less each year but I will make it for a
long time. How many companies have closed up because the economy is so bad. Well I say you did it to yourself if you eliminated jobs from this country. They need to stop thinking a quick profit and look long range at staying in business and making money. So I say to you companies want more business put People to work. That is what has made this country great is people having jobs so they can buy your stuff.
