Landmark Cinedome needs to be saved

(UNEDITED)Riverdale Road has been graced with the Cinedome 70 for as long as I can remember. It is a landmark; a piece of history; a physical monument of many happy memories.

Visiting the Cinedome was not just going to see a movie, it was an experience. The wide open lobby. The smell of popcorn. The feeling of anticipation to run up the curved ramp to find your seat. The huge screen. The great sound. The awe of the big domed room. It was beautiful and classy.

I have seen a lot of movies in my days, in a lot of different theaters. But to this day, I can still tell you the ones I saw at the Cinedome. Even though it has been closed for years, I still am flooded with memories and a smile every time I drive by the Cinedome.

It will be a sad day when I drive down Riverdale Road and pass yet another car dealership instead of this legandary and amazing building.
