There are those who do not live in Riverdale but who would like to tell us how to run our city. I have an idea. Let's open Ritter Drive at the west and make it like it was before we had Parker Drive and Hill Field. Let's make the ground at the Cinedome Theater like it was back before Hill Field.
In those days, there was a pasture for horses where the Cinadome is. People used horses for transporation. I miss these pastures and the dead-end roads.
Now if we moderized that pasture, we would have pavement and cars. Sounds great to me and if we modernized Ritter Drive, we could close Parker Road at 5600 South and make it so people would have to go through Roy again or use the new modern freeway to get to Riverdale. Look at all the accidents we could stop at the intersection of 1500 West and Riverdale Road! What about all the people trying to do "U" turns and left turns to try to get to south-bound I-15, plus all that traffic at 5600 South with the Hill Field traffic. All those trying to beat others off the Roy exit, or onto I-15 from Roy would not have to ccompete with people from Riverdale. I think it's a great idea!
If people decided to boycott Riverdale, they could go through Ogden where there are buses for which we pay. Ogden would love the extra business when people stop going to the mall.
Nevermind some of the great stores in Riverdale that are so convenient as people are on their way to from work.
See ya downtown in good old Ogden. Don't forget the crime that comes with it all. In the old days, there was little crime in Riverdale.
