(UNEDITED)The Larry H. Miller Group had a car sale over the Memorial Day weekend at the parking lot in front of the Cinedome 70. Now that the weekend is over, there is a matter of the cleanup effort.
All of the cars and equipment used for the sale is long gone, but the fences remain and piles of litter dot the parking lot.
Granted, the parking lot where the sale was held and the building that stands on that parking lot have seen better days; however, that doesn't mean that they should leave it worse off than what it was before they came there.
As a business that wants to cement itself in a different part of Riverdale City, the Larry H. Miller Group is getting off to a bad start. The sale they had over the weekend was pure chaos. The roads around the Cinedome are made for much less traffic than what the sale was bringing to the area. For a business to work at that location, a lot of reconfiguring of the roads around that location would have to take place. Otherwise the flow of cars coming in and out would make the area dangerous. A renovation effort on the Cinedome 70 needs to get underway immediately. The area is tailor made for that structure and nothing would need to be adjusted for the roads to work. The proposed plans would create too much work for the city that might end up not getting done.
