(UNEDITED)You can't handle the truth", shouts an angry Jack Nicholson at Tom Cruise in the movie, "A Few Good Men". Marilyn Warner, in her letter to the editor on May 27, made some exceptionally valid points. I truly believe that there are really good men (fathers, stepfathers, and mothers' boyfriends) out there. However, the world seldom hear from these men. In the responses I have read, one was from a wife and another from a "soon-to-be" father-in-law. Guess whose voices we didn't hear from? Frankly, if I was single and free and dating a woman with many children, I would reassure her that I am not a pedophile. I would further impress upon her that I have an absolute aversion to domestic violence. The truth of the matter is that mothers' boyfriends and stepfathers in America poses the greatest threat in infanticides and child abuse. A lady my wife was acquainted with in Oklahoma had just divorced from her husband in November of 2008. In December, she hooked up with a boyfriend. In January of 2009, this boyfriend kills Summer and her four children. Granted, not all men are evil but they have to admit, in order to go into such relationships, they are under the radar. Will society handle these statistical facts?
