Propaganda to eradicate the wolf is on the rise. The wolf has been hunted mercilessly in the past by humans out of fear and misunderstanding. I called Sen. Alllen Christensen, R-North Ogden, who supports management of the wolves. This is simply code for killing the wolves. He left me a message that if we do not "manage" the wolves, they will breed to quickly and will wipe out all the wildlife, livestock and pets.
It is humans who are breeding out of control and putting a strain on creatures like the wolves. It is this behavior that is causing not only global warming, but also extinctions of all kinds of species.
We need to look at ourselves and how we have thrown the planet out of balance. Mother Earth is beckoning that we change our ways.
To really understand why the ranchers are so upset about the wolves, just follow the money. It is not because they care about the cows and other animals because they eventually meet slaughter so that people can have a Big Mac. Nor do they care about the wildlife because cattle ranching is destructive to the ecosystem. They like to throw in that they care about us and our pets too, but that is propaganda.
If they really cared about wildlife and the Earth, they would learn to farm that which is sustainable for all, like beans, grains and vegetables. While the wolf takes only what it needs, which sometimes is cattle, humans overuse and overeat all resources.
Wolves have been pushed out of their natural territories by humans, and their resources are dwindling. Humans are the true problem. We need to change our behavior and show compassion to these beautiful creatures by living in balance with all life.
