(UNEDITED) I just recently got back from spending most of my summer at the beautiful beaches of long Island, New York and the New Jersey shores. During my time back east, my blood pressure many times has been very high because of the debate of wanting to built a Muslim mosque at or near Ground Zero. New York mayor Bloomberg supports the mosque his reasoning - Freedom to practice your religion any where in the United States, especially New York. Mr Bloomberg give me a break. I am for freedom of religion - but at the same time where does respect come in-The issue is about respect,not freedom of religion.
I understand many American Muslims are not terrorists and came to the United States like any other immigrants in the past for a better life and the American way. Today throughout the world with so much at stake trust needs to be proven
In my opinion, the world is watching especially the Muslim Nation on what the great world power the United States is going to decide. I just hope all those people that lose there lives on 9/11 will be proud of the outcome. Amen.
