(UNEDITED)Anchor babies have finally become a big issue. I guess no one knew this was happening till the immigration debate came up. It's almost broke the state of California with the costs. Many illegal immigrants come to our country, risking their life, just to have their child in America.
The 14th amendment to the constitution states all persons born in America are to become citizens, just for being born here. Fine, that doesn't automatically give citizenship to the parents, uncle, aunt, grandparents, etc. Your baby is now a citizen but you aren't. Either take the child with you back to your country, or arrange for someone in America to raise the child for you. There are a lot of people who will adopt your baby, now it is a citizen. This needs to be enforced. Changing the constitution is not something we want the people in Washington to start doing. They are the reason we have this problem to start with. Imagine what they can screw up by getting their hands on the constitution. We really just need them to do their job, or elect people who will.
