President Obama is not going to move on the immigration issue before the November election. It is too controversial and he may lose a few votes. What he will do is keep the pot building so we will have uncertainty and disagreements; that is what plays nicely into his hands while he acts on more spending bills.
My guestion concerns the attention spent on listening to illegal immigrants demand their rights. What rights? They have no legal rights. The only question is: when is the administration going to do something compassionate and something logical for the nation regarding this issue?
On the other hand, Arizona is certainly doing a mighty brave thing and needs our support. When people are put into a corner with someone's fist coming at them (such as the rancher who was killed), they punch back to save their families. What a shame we have come to this in our country due to the inaction or lack of compassion for the citizens by the adminstration.
Moreover, the workers who created the offenders' "list" were loyal, responsible workers defending the laws of this country. How else should someone act who works for her government? I think it was certainly wrong to mail the list, but who do we know who would have the courage to pay them the slightest attention in America today?
What is wrong with calling an illegal immigrant what he is? We call a thief a thief and a pedophile by that name. Why not call an immigal immigrant just that, not some trumped-up name from the intelligencia as "undocumented immigrant?"
Fraudulent Social Security numbers are all over that list. Are we running a government here or playing Charades?
