Socialism hasn't worked anywhere

Since our country was founded, we have fought to save it from destruction or control from other countries, but we're allowing ourselves to be destroyed from within by our own government. We sit in front of our TVs living our lives vicariously through reality shows and sporting events, while politicians pass laws taking away our freedoms, guns and money.

I wouldn't be surprised to find we're as heavily taxed now as the colonies were by England. They finally through off that yoke of oppression. Hopefully, we're smart enough to do the same, instead of letting the government slowly and totally control us. The government is supposed to answer to us, not the other way around.

I'm sure people have heard the story of the frog in the pan of water on the stove. Our government is doing the same to us, and if this isn't corrected soon, like the frog, it will be too late.

If our country is becoming what we want for our children, their children and on down the line, then just grab the remote and sit back and enjoy watching TV. If it isn't, then we need to correct it now.

Since this country was founded, we're been a capitalist nation. This government is trying to turn us into a socialist nation which has never worked anywhere it's been tried, Russia for example. Socialism is the first step toward communism. If people don't know the difference, they should look them up.
