ObamaCare, officially known as the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, constitutes hundreds of new laws for our government to regulate and micromanage virtually every aspect of the lives of the American people from cradle to grave, and a recipe for national bankruptcy. Since the government foots the bill, ObamaCare demands proper "health" habits: "exercise", "mental health", "vaccinations", acceptable "lifestyles", etc, and "improvements in parental skills". School-based health clinics are authorized as well as psychotropic drugs for children with "attention deficit disorders", or any other perceived psychological handicap, without parental consent or knowledge. These federal standards can only be maintained by the government hiring thousands of new federal agents to invade every individual homes.
Everyone is required to have health insurance or be fined, and premiums (and taxes) will explode, like Massachusett's RomneyCare (the pattern for ObamaCare), which created the highest family insurance premiums in the nation. School children's education will include graphic sex education, condom use (distribution), and homosexuality. Pro-life organizations argue that ObamaCare will create the largest increase in abortions since Rowe V. Wade.
The Framers of our Constitution feared our government would drift toward a socialist dictatorship. They "reserved to the states" "nullification" powers. State legislatures have the right (and duty) to declare any federal law it deems unconstitutional "null and void", and refused to enforce it. After the REAL ID Act was signed by President Bush, two dozen states passed laws or resolutions denouncing the act, and refused to comply with it. The federal government was forced to retreat from this unconstitutional power grab.
In defense of the Second Amendment, many states, including Utah, have introduced a Firearms Freedom Act in defiance of federal firearms laws regarding guns manufactured, sold, and used within their state borders. Constitutionalists are using the same strategy to nullify ObamaCare.
