(UNEDITED) I am not surprised, but I am shocked by the deliberate attempt to slander everyone who believes in our Constitution by insisting the shooting in AZ was ether Second Amendment driven or that anyone supporting the Second Amendment believes more guns is the answer to criminal behavior. When are you disbelievers going to understand that "guns don't kill people, people kill people!" The same is true of automobiles; but there is never a movement to remove automobiles from our roads. People (that's you and I) driving automobiles, kill 36-45,000 men women and children every year on our US highways. That is a total far beyond the albeit devastating loss of life due to gun accidents or the deliberate criminal acts of... well, criminals. Maybe the answer (that is so conveniently overlooked) is the mental health issue. Ignoring the root problem only excuses bad behavior and totally ignores the real cause of the outrageous cataclysmic events brought on by deranged minds, as in the Columbine School shootings and now the Jared Lee Loughner shootings. Just look at the biography of Jared Lee Loughner and his drug usage. (Look at the same for the Columbine shooters). Loughner was known to be psychotic and threatening. Unfortunately, it is not politically correct to label people deranged until an actual crisis or tragedy materializes that puts all doubt aside. The red flags are ignored or given justification attributed to the idiosyncrasies of individual behavior. Should "we the people" blindly believe those with the distorted idea that guns are the root of the problem? That would be just as much a ruse as believing automobiles have a mind and a will of their own.
