(UNEDITED) Influenced by the Beach Boys, back in the "60s, we dressed like "surfers" and/or wore our hair long like the Beatles but this thing today is different. The current fashion statements are so bizarre and horridly offensive. People wearing their pants below their rear-ends is crazy. Forget about having to run or jump out of the way of trouble. The fashion totally blows the torso/leg proportions out of whack. I always thought underwear was worn "UNDER" the outer garment and not visible to the general public. What ever happened to groomed hair, I can't believe mussing your hair on purpose is considered a fashion statement. The popularity of tattoos reminds me of my Dad's generation and the regrets they held after the tattoos fad ran its course. I don't get it, how can you do this to yourselves then wonder why you didn't get the job or the interview went bad. If you don't fit within the margins set by society find it difficult to successfully aquire the American dream. Anyone that disagrees with this assessment probably fits the mold of the individuals that I am describing. It isn't the entire fault of the person but also his parents and grandparents as well as friends that propagate the improper and unacceptable dress, behavior and speech mannerisms. Acceptable behavior and expression is determined by society. If you don't fit within the accepted "norm", it will be difficult to be a success. Fair or not, that's just the way it is.
