Wednesday Morning Hikers: 9 a.m. today. Join us every Wednesday morning through April 1, 2010. These outings are open to everyone, including families of all ages. A sled will be provided for young ones during snow season. Be prepared to snowshoe, if necessary. For outing location, please call Tracey at (801) 776-1713. Winter Fitness Hiking: 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5. Stay in shape this winter. Join us in the morning for an hour winter hiking on snow packed trails. Each participant will receive a free pedometer to track his or her steps all winter long. For more information, call Stephanie at (801) 643-0584. Meet at the top of 27th Street in Ogden.

WASATCH AUDUBON

 Christmas Bird Count: Today in Morgan County. Meet at Utah DWR (515 E. 5300 South, South Ogden) at 7:30 a.m. to carpool to breakfast at the Spring Chicken Inn in Morgan, or meet at the Inn at 8 a.m.

Christmas Bird Count: Friday at Antelope Island State Park. Meet in the parking lot outside the park entrance kiosk at 8 a.m.

MISCELLANEOUS

 The Beehive Rock and Gem Club is holding is second annual "Mini-Show" through Feb. 10 at the Huntsville branch of the Weber County Library, located at 131 S. 7400 East. The show will feature club members' displays, collections and crafts. For more information, call Mark Acker at (801) 388-3481.

Powder Mountain will extend night skiing hours on Thursday night to 12:15 a.m. Friday so that New Year's revelers can count down the beginning of 2010 on the slopes. Night skiing will open at its regular time of 3 p.m. and the schedule for the free shuttle service will be adjusted to accommodate New Year's Eve guests. Children are invited to participate in a glow stick parade at 9 p.m.
