JACKSON, Wyo. -- Officials with the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort say a ski patroller was buried by an avalanche.
A news release from the resort says the patroller was caught in the slide Wednesday morning, and was dug out of the snow. His name was not released.
The patroller was taken to the Village Clinic; his condition is not known.
The avalanche was triggered by the resort's ski patrol before the lifts were open to the public.
The resort has received more than 30 inches of snow in the last week, including 10 inches in the 24 hours before the avalanche.
