Center warns of avalanche danger in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY -- Officials are warning of avalanche danger in much of Utah's mountain backcountry.

The Utah Avalanche Center says danger is expected to be "considerable" at least through Monday.

The center says recent snow over the last several days has produced avalanches across much of the state.

Center officials say an already weak layer near the ground may get overloaded as new snow moves into the state.
