Searchers in Utah find missing snowmobiler

FAIRVIEW -- Rescue crews in Sanpete County have located a 54-year-old snowmobiler who went missing in Fairview Canyon.

Sheriff's dispatchers say the man was found Thursday after spending a night outside in central Utah. A Department of Public Safety helicopter spotted him. His condition was unknown.

Officials say the man was among about 20 people from Springville snowmobiling in the canyon near the town of Fairview.

When the group returned to camp Wednesday, they realized the man was missing.

Sheriff's deputies were summoned, and the search began about 6 p.m. Wednesday. It was suspended overnight because of weather conditions and resumed at dawn Thursday.
