UDOT to upgrade crosswalks for the disabled

LAYTON -- Main Street in Layton and Clearfield soon should be easier to traverse for those with vision problems and other disabilities.

Utah Department of Transportation crews have begun work on a project to make crosswalks in Layton and Clearfield compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Trail to be complete by the end of summer

LAYTON -- The final portion of nearly a marathon's worth of continuous biking and running trails is set to be finished before the summer is out.

Man pleads guilty in Layton auto death

FARMINGTON -- The family of a 20-year-old Layton man who died from injuries suffered in an accident last December hugged the man who pleaded guilty to charges relating to the accident.

Signal to be installed to protect Rail Trail pedestrians, cyclists

LAYTON -- City officials want to make sure residents are safe when using the Denver & Rio Grande Western Rail Trail, which is nearly completed through Layton.

The city recently reached an agreement with the Utah Transit Authority to construct pedestrian-crossing signal devices where the trail will cross West Hill Field Road.

OGDEN -- A 6-year-old boy remained at Primary Children's Medical Center in Salt Lake City on Saturday, recovering from injuries suffered when he was hit by a car Friday afternoon.

OGDEN -- A young boy is lucky to be alive after being hit by a car Friday afternoon, police say.
