NORTH OGDEN — Eliza Johnson and Heber Johnson never gave up hope that their neighbor’s Bengal cat would come home safe.

The 14-year-old girl and her 10-year-old brother, who love animals, just didn’t think they would actually find the 8-year-old exotic feline on their property.

Asia, whose human is Jana Vandyke, had been missing since April 21.

RENO, Nev. -- Barbara Bagley says she never gave up hope that her dog would be found alive in the Nevada desert after the animal bolted from the scene of a crash that critically injured her and killed her husband.

But the Salt Lake City woman endured plenty of frustration until her beloved 4-year-old Shetland sheepdog, Dooley, was tracked down Feb. 18 after surviving 53 days in the wild on roadkill and scattered ranch water sources.

OAKLAND, Calif. -- A California family got the best -- and most belated -- Christmas present this year, one that has really put them in the mood to ring in the new year.

Ann and Craig Magnussen and their two teenage daughters were reunited two days before Christmas with a Chihuahua they lost five years ago. The dog named Taz showed up in the parking lot of the Berkeley Bowl supermarket in Berkeley, Calif., on Dec. 23, a bit dirty and disheveled.
