WENDOVER -- Authorities have identified three Utah residents killed in a small plane crash during gusty winds at an airport on the Utah-Nevada border.
The Tooele County sheriff's office said Thursday that 57-year-old Lincoln Marshal Dastrup of Salt Lake City, 38-year-old Chad A. Wade of South Jordan and 37-year-old Justin Michael Yates of Lehi died in the Wednesday afternoon crash at the Wendover Airport.
The fourth victim is from India and won't be identified by local authorities until family members are notified.
The Federal Aviation Administration says the crash happened while the Cessna 172 was landing.
The plane is a popular single-engine aircraft that carries up to four passengers.
A cause of the crash hasn't been determined, but Wendover Airport officials say there were strong wind gusts at the time.
