Irvine returns to Bountiful power commission

David Irvine has been reappointed to a four-year term on the city’s power commission.

His appointment was formally ratified by the city council at a recent meeting. He is one of seven members of the board that oversees the activity of the Bountiful City Light & Power Company. Irvine has served on the board since 1998.

Bountiful reappoints two commission members

One long-time member of the city’s Power Commission and one member of the Planning Commission have been reappointed to serve four-year terms.

Richard Foster was appointed to serve another term on the Power Commission and Thomas Smith was appointed to another term on the Planning Commission. Foster has served on the city board since 1995 and Smith has served since 2003.

Both appointments were approved by a unanimous vote.

Power commission re-appoints pair

Former Mayor John Cushing and Lowell Leishman have been re-appointed to four-year terms on the city’s power commission.

The appointments were formally announced and approved during a recent meeting of the city council.

The commission oversees policies and expenses related to the Bountiful City Power & Light Company.
